Diablo Vista Division 52 was chartered by CalRTA in 1963. Our Division extends over 18 public school districts and 2 community colleges in central, south, and east Contra Costa County. We support current teachers in our area with 15 or more teacher grants of $150 each. Our Diablo Vista Retired Teachers Scholarship Foundation annually awards between five and ten $10,000 scholarships to graduates of Diablo Valley College and Los Medanos College to assist students with higher education. We enjoy bi-monthly member lunches and a variety of other events such as book club, movie day, group local day trips, and group international travel. Our members advocate for both state and federal legislation involving public education, and the health and safety of seniors. Especially important to us is the repeal of the Social Security penalties, Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset. More…
